The HARP 2.0 boom may have peaked: Refis drop 23% in July
Roughly 96,000 Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac mortgages refinanced under an expanded Home Affordable Refinance Program in July, down 23% from the previous month, according to theFederal Housing Finance Agency. Still, more than 519,000 GSE loans refinanced under the program so far this year, far surpassing the roughly 400,000 in all of 2011.
